July 6, 2016: Canadian Pub from "Man of Steel" Destroyed in Fire

The Cassidy Inn Pub located in the city of Nanaimo, British Columbia which was used as a filming location in "Man of Steel" has been destroyed by an overnight fire.

The pub was featured as a loggers bar in the film where Clark Kent (Henry Cavill), working as busboy, must control his temper when a rude trucker harasses a waitress and hurls a beer can off of Clark's head. However, he does settle the score by unleashing some serious damage to the trucker's tractor-trailer rig.

According to the Vancouver Sun, the pub was not currently in operation and had been vacant for a few years. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by local authorities.
