TV Guide has learned that actor Callum Blue will reprise his role of Zod in one of the last five episodes of Smallville's final season.

Clark's nemesis has been absent from the show since being pulled into a time-space portal in the ninth season finale.

Smallville producer Brian Peterson hinted at Zod's return in an interview last month.

"We have hopes of having one great Zod episode," he revealed. "Nothing set in stone, but we're hopeful for this year."

Smallville was set to return with the new episode "Collateral" tonight but has been pushed back until February 4th at 8PM EST on the CW.
