The Superman fan fan-film entitled "Superman: Requiem" has begun a campaign seeking financial support from Superman fans around the world.
The film's writer, producer and director Gene Fallaize explains that, due to the fan-film nature of the project, formal financing is unattainable and those involved are giving their time and talent free of charge. Funds are, however, needed for the hiring of equipment and to pay for VFX shots (including flying), as well as to cover various expenses for locations, cast, and crew.
This is where you, the fans, come into the equation.
Fallaize is offerring several perks in return for an investment to those who are either looking for a 'break' in the film industry, be it as a producer, an actor, or any other role, but also for anyone who wants to be part of a Superman film. Weather you're a fan of the comic-books, the movies, the TV shows, or just someone that wants to be involved, packages are being offerred to suit anyone.
Among the perks that contributers will receive in return for a financial donation will be credits featured in the film as well as being listed on IMDb.
All funders names will also be added to the official website at www.themanofsteelisback.com and each will be thanked via the official Twitter feed @supermanrequiem.
