D.J. Cotrona's Superman in "Justice League Mortal" Revealed

by Neil Cole

A first ever look at actor D.J. Cotrona's version of Superman from the failed "Justice League Mortal" film has been revealed by DC Films Hub.

The costume does feature some classic elements such as the iconic "S" Shield, red cape, and yellow belt but looses the red shorts and features blue boots very similar to those initially worn by Superman in the 2016 comic book relaunch, "DC Rebirth".

"Justice League Mortal" was set to be directed by George Miller with a release date set for 2009 but the project ultimately died thanks in huge part to the Hollywood writer's strike.

In addition to Cotrona as the Man of Steel, the film would have starred Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Armie Hammer as Batman, Adam Brody as the Flash, Rapper Common as Green Lantern, Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman, and Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter. Actor Jay Baruchel would have starred as the film's primary villain, Maxwell Lord.
