"Death of Superman" Animated Film Cast Announced

Warner Bros. Animation has announced the full cast for "The Death of Superman"; the next latest installment in the direct-to-video DC Universe Animated Original Movie series.
Jerry O'Connell will reprise his role as Clark Kent/Superman which he has previously voiced in "Justice League: Throne of Atlantis," "Justice League vs. Teen Titans," and "Justice League Dark".
Also reprising prior roles are Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman, Nathan Fillion as the Green Lantern, Christopher Gorham as The Flash, Matt Lanter as Aquaman, Shemar Moore as Cyborg, and Jason O'Mara as Batman.
Other cast members include Rebecca Romijn as Lois Lane, Rainn Wilson as Lex Luthor, and Patrick Fabian as Hank Henshaw.
The film will follow the events of the 1992 "Death of Superman" comic book storyline in which Superman engages in battle with the immensely powerful and seemingly unstoppable creature known as Doomsday. At the fight's conclusion, both combatants apparently die from their wounds in the streets of Metropolis.
The storyline was previously adapted in a highly-condensed and altered form in the 1997 animated film "Superman: Doomsday" which was also the very first entry in the DC Universe Animated Original Movie series.
"The Death of Superman" will release later this year while a second chapter titled "Reign of the Supermen" will be released in early 2019.
