March 30, 2011: Zack Snyder Addresses 'Justice League' Rumors
At the UK premiere of 'Sucker Punch', the folks at HeyUGuys.co.uk had an opportunity to speak with director Zack Snyder on the recent news that Warner Bros. is seeking to put together a 'Justice League' film for 2013.
When asked if his upcoming Superman reboot would tie into the Justuce League film, Snyder stated that the film would stand on it's own:
"It doesn't [tie in]. Like what Chris Nolan is doing and what I'm doing with Superman, what they'll do with Justice League will be it's own thing with it's own Batman and own Superman. We'll be over here with our movie and they kinda get to do it twice which is kinda cool"
From Snyder's comments, one can assume that this new 'Justice League' film will follow in the footsteps of it's shelved predecessor, 'Justice League: Mortal' which would have also been featured an independent cast of actors.
As for now, it appears as though Henry Cavill's Superman, Christian Bale's Batman and Ryan Reynold's Green Lantern will not appear in the planned 2013 film.
