In a recent interview with Independent UK, former "Game of Thrones" actor Ciaran Hinds confirmed that he will be playing the villainous role of Steppenwolf in "Justice League".
"He's old, tired, still trying to get out of his own enslavement to Darkseid," stated Hinds. "He has to keep on this line to try and take over worlds."
As with Steppenwolf's brief deleted scene appearance in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", Hinds revealed that the character will be computer-generated stating, "Basically they're going to construct something, digitally, and then they will use my eyes and mouth."
Steppenwolf was created by Jack Kirby and first appeared in New Gods vol. 1 #7 (February 1972). The character is an immortal with superhuman strength, speed and stamina appropriate to his race. He is also an experienced military leader, having served as the head of Apokolips's armed forces.
"Justice League" premieres in theaters worldwide on November 17th.
