In honor of Toronto born Superman co-creator Joe Shuster's 99th birthday and the 75th anniversary of the iconic character, the Canada Post will debut a new series of stamps featuring the Man of Steel at the 2013 Fan Expo.
"Canada Post is excited to honour the world’s first super hero and his super fan base with a new set of PERMANENT™ stamps," said the Canada Post in a statement. "Join Canada Post as we say 'Happy Birthday' to Superman and pay tribute to the talented artists who have worked on his image over the years."
The PERMANENT™ stamps are similar to US Postal Service FOREVER™ stamps in that they are honored as acceptable postage even as rates increase over time.
Fan Expo Canada attendees will get an exclusive first look at the new Superman stamps when the convention kicks off this Thursday, August 22nd at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Canada.
The Canada Post will officially issue the Superman stamps on September 10th.
