According to a new report from Latino Review, sources have stated that Warner Bros. could be scouting filming locations for the 2015 sequel to "Man of Steel" in both Detroit, MI and Morocco.
The article states that a production team is rumored to have scouted the Detroit area which could possibly stand in as a double for Gotham City.
This rumor could prove to be true as the state of Michigan is currently offering generous tax incentives as it goes through a production boom which also encouraged director Michael Bay to film his next Transformers movie in the state.
In regard to Morocco, Latino Review speculates that the country's desert could be used as a locale where either Bruce Wayne or Lex Luthor discover the radioactive meteorite known as Kryptonite.
Morocco has played host to prior Warner Bros. productions including such films as "Body Of Lies (2008)", "Sex & the City 2 (2010)", and "Inception (2010)."
It is currently unknown if the highly anticipated "Man of Steel" sequel will indeed film in these locations so please take this latest rumor with a grain of salt.
Tentatively titled either "Superman vs. Batman" or "Batman vs. Superman", Warner Bros. has announced that the new film will hit theaters on July 17, 2015
