While in attendance at a rugby game in his homeland of Jersey in the Channel Islands, Henry Cavill offered his first comments on Warner Bros.' announcement that Ben Affleck will portray Batman/Bruce Wayne in the 2015 sequel to "Man of Steel",
BBC Radio Jersey presonality, Kevin Pamplin caught up with Cavill at the game and Tweeted that the Superman star stated, "He is such a great actor. I'm so very excited about working with him. He is going to have such a presence. I can't wait!"
Affleck will star opposite Cavill who will reprise the role of Superman/Clark Kent. The film will also reunite "Man of Steel" stars Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, and Diane Lane as Martha 'Ma' Kent.
Reports indicate that Affleck has already began a strenuous exercise routine to pack on the necessary muscle for his role as the Dark Knight.
Tentatively titled "Superman vs. Batman" or "Batman vs. Superman", Warner Bros. has slated the film to open worldwide on July 17, 2015.
