Just in time for Superman's 75th Anniversary, the Canada Post has officially debuted their new series of stamps featuring the Man of Steel.
As we previously reported, the new PERMANENT™ stamps are similar to US Postal Service FOREVER™ stamps in that they are honored as acceptable postage even as rates increase over time.
There are 5 stamps total (pictured below) in the new series which showcase the evolution of Superman's image throughout 75 years of comic book appearances. The featured illustrations come from:
1939: Superman #1, cover drawn by Joe Shuster 1945: Superman #32, cover drawn by Wayne Boring 1971: Superman #233, cover drawn by Neal Adams 2004: Superman #204, interior image drawn by Jim Lee 2012: Superman Annual #1, cover drawn by Kenneth Rocafort
The Superman stamps, which are only available for purchase within Canada, are currently available for pre-order at https://www.canadapost.ca and officially issue on September 10th, 2013.
