British Actress Georgina Campbell has landed the role of Lyta Zod on the upcoming SyFy television series "Krypton" from David S. Goyer and Warner Horizon Television.
Campbell's character will be portrayed as the daughter of a General Alura Zoda and a cadet member of Krypton's military caste who has also been having a clandestine, forbidden romance with Superman's grandfather, Seg-El.
Campbell has previously starred in "Murdered by My Boyfriend" for which she who won the BAFTA Television Award for Leading Actress in 2015 and will soon star in the third season of "Broadchurch" as well as the feature film "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" from director Guy Ritchie.
Goyer and Damian Kindler will serve as executive producers of "Krypton" while Colm McCarthy will serve as co-executive producer and directer of the pilot episode from a story by Goyer & Ian Goldberg.
A premiere date for the series has not yet been announced but is speculated to take place this Winter.
