November 4, 2014: Henry Cavill Forms Promethean Productions
Superman star Henry Cavill has formed his own production company called Promethean Productions with his brother Charlie Cavill and London-based producer, Rex Glensy.
The newly formed company's first project will be "Stratton" which will be co-produced with Amber Entertainment and GFM Films. The action thriller will be is based on author Duncan Falconer's eight-novel series which centers around lead character John Stratton; an operative of the SBS who works with the Intelligence Detachment in Northern Ireland.
"Having the opportunity to expand my horizons into filmmaking is incredibly exciting," stated Cavill. "Getting to work so closely with my brother in this venture is equally so."
Filming on "Stratton" will commence in the Spring in such locations as Southern Italy, Rome and London. The film's musical score will be composed by Hothouse Music whose prior credits include "The Hobbit Trilogy" and "Les Miserables."
Cavill is currently hard at work filming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and will return to the silver screen in Warner Bros.' "The Man From U.N.C.L.E" which premieres in August, 2015.
