Actor Ed Asner Passes Away at Age 91

Veteran TV and movie actor, Ed Asner has passed away at the age of 91.

Asner is best known for his six-decade career in the role of Lou Grant on both The Mary Tyler Moore Show and subsequent television series featuring the character in the title role. Superman fans will remember Asner as the voice of Granny Goodness in Superman: The Animated Series, Justice League Unlimited, and Superman/Batman: Apocalypse.

He would also lend his voice to such roles as Hudson in Disney's Gargoyles, J. Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man: The Animated Series, and Carl Fredricksen in both Pixar's Up and the upcoming Disney+ series, Dug Days.

Some of Asner's more recent credits include Cobra Kai, Grace and Frankie, and Central Park as well as several other projects he was working on at the time of his passing.
