Actress Allene Roberts who starred in the classic films as "Knock on Any Door" with Humphrey Bogart and "The Red House" with Edward G. Robinson has passed away at the age of 90.
Superman fans will remember Roberts for her appearances in three episodes of the "Adventures of Superman" television series; "The Haunted Lighthouse (1952)" as Alice Horne, "The Monkey Mystery (1952)" as Maria Moleska, and "The Whistling Bird (1954)" as Nancy Quinn.
She also starred in six installments of "Dragnet" and appeared in such feature films as "Bomba on Panther Island," "The Hoodlum," "Union Station," "Santa Fe," "Kid Monk Baroni," and "Thunderbirds".
Following her marriage to Ralph Cochran in 1955, Roberts left show business to raise a family with her final TV appearances coming in 1957.
Roberts is survived by her children John, Leslie, Julie and Laurie; her grandchildren Amanda, Kay, Scott, Johnny, Allison, Will, Lauren and McKenna; and her great-grandchildren Connor, Carden, Chase, Carson and Campbell.
