According to a new report from Deadline, actors Brandon Routh and Courtney Ford will reportedly be leaving the CW television series, "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" in the near future.
Routh currently stars in the series as Ray Palmer/the Atom; a role which he originated in the third season of "Arrow". Ford debuted in the role of Nora Darhk during the third season of "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" and became a series regular in the fourth season.
"Brandon and Courtney have been invaluable members of the Legends family," said series producers Phil Klemmer, Grianne Godfree, and Keto Shimizu in a statement to Deadline. "They have always brought a level passion and collaboration to their characters and to the show - both on and off the screen - that we deeply admire and for which we are eternally grateful."
While it currently remains unclear how long Routh and Ford will continue with the series, Routh will star in the role of Kingdom Come Superman in the upcoming Arrowverse crossover event "Crisis on Infinite Earths". Routh originally portrayed the role of the Man of Steel in the 2006 film, "Superman Returns".
Following Routh's departure from the series, actresses Caity Lotz and Dominic Purcell will be the only remaining original cast members. Season 5 of "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" is scheduled to premiere in early 2020.
