A new "Teen Titans" live-action movie is officially in the works at the DC Studios division of Warner Bros. which is co-chaired by James Gunn and Peter Safran.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film will be written by actress and playwright Ana Nogueira who is also currently writing the script for the upcoming film "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow".
First appearing in 1964 in 'The Brave and the Bold #54, the iconic DC Comics superhero team was formed by Kid Flash (Wally West), Robin (Dick Grayson), and Aqualad (Garth) before adopting the name Teen Titans in issue #60 with the addition of Wonder Girl (Donna Troy) to their ranks.
The team has previously been featured in such animated series as "The Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure" (1967 - 1968), "Teen Titans" (2003 - 2006), and "Teen Titans Go!" (2023 - Present) which spawned the 2018 hit animated film "Teen Titans Go! To the Movies". The hit television series "Titans" (2018 - 2019 DC Universe, 2021 - 2023 HBO Max) also just completed a four season run.
