As we reported yesterday, the facade of the Leader Building in downtown Cleveland, OH is being transformed into the headquarters of the Daily Planet in director James Gunn's 2025 "Superman" movie.
Earlier today, production crews were seen adding the inconic Daily Planet globe to the arched entrance of the building where it will apparently hang from a chain over the main doorway.
"Superman" (formerly "Superman: Legacy") tells the story of Superman's journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.
The film stars David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, María Gabriela De Faría as The Engineer, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, Neva Howell as Martha Kent, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, and Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe.
"Superman" is currently scheduled to premiere in theaters on July 11th, 2025.
