In a recent interview with Italy's GQ magazine about his role as the newly announced face of BOSS fragrances, David Corenswet also shared insights into his evolving career and the monumental challenge of portraying Superman. Corenswet discussed how taking on the role of the iconic superhero is both an exciting and demanding responsibility.
"Playing Superman was the most challenging role of my career for its scope and physical demands. Two sides of the same person, a dichotomy dictated by circumstances, the environment and the secret. I focus on doing my best for the director, the crew and my colleagues who have worked at the top of their abilities for months or years. If I do well for them, I think I've done everything possible."
Previously know as "Superman: Legacy", the film stars Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, Hoult as Lex Luthor, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe, Neva Howell as Martha Kent, and Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent.
Fans will get their first glimpse of Corenswet as the Man of Steel when "Superman" hits theaters and IMAX nationwide on July 11, 2025.
