David Corenswet Spotted on "Superman" Set as Filming Begins in Downtown Cleveland

Actor David Corenswet has been spotted on the set of "Superman" (formerly "Superman: Legacy") as filming has officially begun in downtown Cleveland, OH which will double as Metropolis in the highly anticipated movie.
Corenswet was photographed between filming wearing the latest version of the iconic Superman costume alongside actor Edi Gathegi in his role as Mister Terrific. Other set photos feature Corenswet in a black cloak to help conceal his Superman costume.
Director James Gunn was also spotted on set surrounded by rubble scattered throughout the street as well as a various actors in full military gear gathering on set for what will most likely be featured as an action-heavy sequence in the film.
"Superman" tells the story of Superman's journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.
In addition to Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, the films stars Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, María Gabriela De Faría as The Engineer, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, Neva Howell as Martha Kent, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, and Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe.
"Superman" is currently scheduled to premiere in theaters on July 11th, 2025.
