An original Superman costume worn by actor Dean Cain on the television series "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" is on exhibit at the Strataca Underground Salt Museum in Hutchinson, Kansas.
The costume is on loan from Warner Brothers Entertainment and is featured in a climate-controlled space shared with Underground Vaults and Storage which stores movie reels and other valuables belonging to movie studios.
Other costumes on exhibit include George Clooney's Batman costume from "Batman and Robin," Hugo Weaving's Agent Smith costume from "The Matrix," and Michael Keaton's snowman costume from "Jack Frost" as well as a Dorothy tornado research device from the 1996 film, "Twister".
The museum opened in 2007 as the Kansas Underground Salt Museum and is built within one of the world's largest deposits of rock salt and provides the opportunity to go 650 feet beneath the Earth's surface. It is a unique destination attraction for exploring an environment carved from salt deposits formed 275 million years ago and is the only salt mine in the United States accessible to tourists.
