Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been cast in the role of voicing Krypto the Super-Dog in the upcoming Warner Bros. animated feature film, "The DC League of Super-Pets".
The superhero action adventure from writer-director Jared Stern and co-director Sam Levine will be produced by Johnson's Seven Bucks production company and is scheduled to premiere in theaters on May 20th, 2022.
The film will be based on the Legion of Super-Pets who first appeared together in Adventure Comics #293 in February, 1962. In addition to Krypto the Super-Dog, the film will also feature Streaky the Super-Cat, Ace the Bat-Hound, Comet the Super-Horse, Beppo the Super-Monkey, and Proty the Extraterrestrial, among others.
"The DC League of Super-Pets" is Johnson's second DC Comics film project in addtion to playing the title role in "Black Adam" which is currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia and scheduled for release on July 29th, 2022.
