First Trailer for the Upcoming "Superman" Movie Rumored to Debut Next Week

According to a new report from Hollywood insider Matt Belloni via his Puck Newsletter, the first trailer for director James Gunn's highly anticipated "Superman" movie is set to be released next week.
According to Belloni's sources, "The star of the big Superman trailer debuting next week is apparently.. a dog?" which indicates that Krypto the Superdog will be featured prominently in the footage marking what could be a delightful introduction to the Man of Steel's beloved canine on the silver screen. Furthermore, Krypto's appearance in the teaser hints at a lighter, more playful tone in the film's approach to Superman's world, potentially setting the stage for a unique blend of action and heartwarming moments.
The report goes on to state that a press event for the movie will be held on Monday, December 16th, during which the trailer is expected to debut. The trailer will either be released publicly on the same day or in the following days, ramping up anticipation ahead of its rumored theatrical release in front of "Disney's Mufasa: The Lion King" which is set to hit theaters on December 20th. This is a well-timed strategic marketing move by the studio as "Mufasa" is expected to draw large audiences, particularly families, which aligns perfectly with the family-friendly tone hinted at by Krypto's inclusion in the "Superman" trailer.
