Happy Superman Day, 2024

The staff of the Superman Super Site would like to wish all fellow Superman fans a very Happy Superman Day which is celebrated on June 12th each year.
The day was founded in 2013 by DC Entertainment under the name "Man of Steel Day" in celebration of the theatrical release of 2013 film starring actor Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent and featured free copies of "All-Star Superman #1 Special Edition" being given away at comic book retailers nationwide.
Over the past 11 years, much has taken place in the Superman Universe including the release of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League" as well as the premiere of the popular television series, "Superman & Lois" which kicks of it's fourth and final season later this Fall.
More recently, fans have been treated to the release of the latest animated version the Man of Steel in the form of the Cartoon Network series, "My Adventures with Superman" starring Jack Quaid as Clark Kent/Superman, Alice Lee as Lois Lane, and Ishmel Sahid as Jimmy Olsen.
In addition, fans will see the return of the Man of Steel to the silver screen in 2025 with the theatrical release of director James Gunn's "Superman" starring newcomer David Corenswet in the title role alongside Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer just to name a few.
From Superman's 1938 debut within the pages of "Action Comics No. 1" through modern day, the iconic superhero has certainly been through numerous storylines and changes over the past 86 years. Little did his co-creators, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, know back then the enormous cultural impact their creation would have and we as fans get to enjoy every single moment of it.
