McFarlane Toys "Superman: Red Son" Action Figure Announced
McFarlane Toys have announced the upcoming January, 2021 release of a "Superman: Red Son" action figure.
Originally released in 2003 and authored by Mark Millar, "Superman: Red Son" tackles the premise of "What if Superman had been raised in the Soviet Union?" with Kal-El's rocket ship landing on a Ukrainian collective farm rather than in Kansas. Instead of fighting for "truth, justice, and the American Way", Superman is described in Soviet radio broadcasts "as the Champion of the common worker who fights a never-ending battle for Stalin, socialism, and the international expansion of the Warsaw Pact".
Pre-orders for the "Superman: Red Son" action figure should be available soon on the McFarlane Toys website.
