South Korean convenience store chain, GS25 has partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to launch two new exclusively themed sodas called Superman Cider and Batman Cola which will retail for ₩1,700 (KRW).
"Our customer analysis shows that today's younger generation no longer blindly goes for nationally recognized brand names but attaches greater value to product content," stated Kwon Min-kyoon, Managing Director of the GS Retail Beverage Division.
"We hope to take private brands to the next level by working together with a global leader in content creation," continued Min-kyoon. "By continuing to analyze our customer base and differentiating our products, we will keep up with evolving consumer demands."
Through their partnership with Warner Bros., GS25 also plans to release other themed snacks and drinks featuring various DC Comics characters in the near future.
