FOX 2 Detroit (WJBK) and iHeart Media radio host, Jay Towers recently took home the Emmy for "News Feature - Light Feature (Single Report)" for his news report, "Superman Filming Locations: 45 Years Later" at the 46th Annual Michigan Chapter Emmy Awards.

The report features Towers along with Capedwonder.com founder, Jim Bowers traveling to Alberta, Canada and visiting some of the most iconic filming locations from "Superman The Movie" 45 years after production wrapped on the blockbuster film.

"'Superman The Movie' was my earliest childhood memory and my favorite, so getting an opportunity to travel to Canada and see some of these amazing locations with my own eyes was a lifelong dream," said Towers in a statement to the Superman Super Site. "My boss at the television station encouraged me to record what I saw so when I got back home, I turned it into a story never imagining it would be my first Emmy win for something that means so much to me."
