"Superman: III" Screening at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, San Francisco

by Neil Cole

The Alamo Drafthouse New Mission Theater in San Francisco, CA will host a screening of "Superman: III" on Wednesday, March 6th at 10:00pm as part of their "Weird Wednesday" film series.

Computer programmer Gus Gorman (Richard Pryor) is hired by financial tycoon Ross Webster (Robert Vaughn) to seize control of a weather satellite and annihilate Colombia's coffee crop. When Superman (Christopher Reeve in his third outing as the Man of Steel) manages to thwart the plan, Webster commands Gorman to use the satellite to locate kryptonite, the Man of Steel's mortal weakness. But a missing unknown element in the kryptonite -- replaced by Gorman with tar -- causes an unintended side effect when presented to Superman.

Tickets for all ages are just $6.00 each and can purchased on-line at Drafthouse.com or at the Alamo Drafthouse New Mission Theater box office.
