The Garland Theater in Spokane, WA will host a screening of the 1981 blockbuster, "Superman: II" on Wednesday, April 16th at 7:00PM (PST).
Directed by Richard Lester, the film stars Golden Globe-nominee Christopher Reeve ("The Remains of the Day", "Deathtrap") in his second starring role as the Man of Steel alongside Academy Award-winner Gene Hackman ("The Birdcage", "Unforgiven"), Margot Kidder ("Amityville Horror") as Lois Lane, Ned Beatty ("Deliverance") as Otis, Sarah Douglas ("Conan The Destroyer") as Ursa, Jack O'Halloran ("Dragnet") as Non, and Academy Award-nominees Valerie Perrine ("ER") and Terence Stamp ("The Adventures of Priscilla: Queen of the Desert").
The sequel to the box office smash, "Superman: The Movie" continues the great adventures of the Man of Steel as Superman enters the battle of his life when he fights to save the planet Earth from three intergalactic arch-criminals whose powers are as fantastic as his own. Spectacular action, unlimited surprises abound, as Superman again faces a cosmic confrontation between good and evil.
The screening is free for all Movie Club members where film enthusiasts of all backgrounds come together to celebrate the art of cinema.
