Production on "Superman" (formerly "Superman: Legacy") will soon be wrapping up in and around the Cleveland, OH area before moving on to Cincinnati, OH where further filming will take place.
One such Cincinnati location that looks to be featured prominently in the 2025 film will be the city's Union Terminal which the Cincinnati Museum Center has announced will be closed to the public for a "private event rental" on Thursday, July 18th.
The iconic building was the basis for cartoonist Al Gmuer's design of the "Hall of Justice" in the popular Hanna-Barbera animated television series, "Super Friends" and has been rumored to be the potential setting for the Justice League's headquarters in the film.
This could potentially be the case as several cast members who are portraying Justice League characters in the film have been caught on camera while filming scenes in Cleveland including David Corenswet as Superman, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, and Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl.
"Superman" tells the story of Superman's journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.
"Superman" is currently scheduled to premiere in theaters on July 11th, 2025.
