"Superman The Movie" & "Superman II" Screenings in the Cayman Islands

The Camana Bay Cinema in George Town, Cayman Islands will present a special screening of "Superman The Movie" on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 7:00 PM and "Superman II" on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 7:00 PM.
One of the most well-regarded superhero films of all time, "Superman The Movie" was a box-office smash when it rocketed to Earth in 1978. Just before the destruction of the planet Krypton, scientist Jor-El (Marlon Brando) sends his infant son Kal-El on a spaceship to Earth. Raised by kindly farmers Jonathan (Glenn Ford) and Martha Kent (Phyllis Thaxter), young Clark (Christopher Reeve) discovers the source of his superhuman powers and moves to Metropolis to fight evil. As Superman, he battles the villainous Lex Luthor (Gene Hackman), while, as novice reporter Clark Kent, he attempts to woo co-worker Lois Lane (Margot Kidder).
"Superman II" picks up where the first film left off and features the Man of Steel entering the battle of his life when he fights to save the planet Earth from three intergalactic arch-criminals - General Zod (Terence Stamp), Ursa (Sarah Douglas), & Non (Jack O'Halloran) - whose powers are as fantastic as his own. Spectacular action, unlimited surprises abound, as Superman again faces a cosmic confrontation between good and evil. Amidst it all is the will-they-or-won't-they romance of the ever-flirtatious Lois and Clark.
