Actor Chris Gauthier who "Smallville" fans will remember for his role as Winslow Schott/Toyman on the hit CW television series has passed away at the age of 48 following a brief illness.
Gauthier starred in the role of the iconic DC Comics villain in 4 episodes in which he portrayed the character as a terrorist and former Queen Industries employee who, after being hired by Lex Luthor, battled both Clark Kent and Oliver Queen and created Marionette Ventures aka The Legion of Doom.
"As a beloved character actor, Chris shared his talents with so many of us both on television and in film," stated a representative from his team at TriStar Appearances/Event Horizon Talent. "His loss is felt not just by his fans but by those of us who were lucky enough to know him more personally. On behalf of his family, we ask for privacy during this time so that they are able to grieve properly."
Gaithier was also well known for his television roles as Vincent in "Eureka" and William Smee in "Once Upon a Time" as well as various roles in such films as "Freddy vs. Jason", "Riding the Bullet", "The Butterfly Effect 2", "The Sandlot: Heading Home", "Stargate: The Ark of Truth", and "Watchmen".
The staff of the Superman Super Site wishes to extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife Erin, sons Ben & Sebastian, and the entire Gauthier family during this difficult time of mourning.
