Warner Bros. and DC Studios have released the first official promotional poster for director James Gunn's highly anticipated film, "Superman" giving fans an exciting glimpse into the future of the iconic superhero franchise. The poster, unveiled with much fanfare, features actor David Corenswet soaring into the sky as the titular Man of Steel alogn with the tagline, "Look Up".
In addition, Warner Bros. will be holding a special media event later today on the backlot of the Burbank, CA studios which will feature a first look at the teaser trailer for the film. Following the event, Gunn has confirmed that the trailer will be released to the general public on Thursday, December 19th giving fans a first look at the new film.
The official website for the film currently displays a countdown to the release of the teaser trailer.
Previously know as "Superman: Legacy", the film stars David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe, Neva Howell as Martha Kent, and Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent.
"Superman" is currently scheduled to premiere in theaters on July 11th, 2025.
