Weta Workshop Reveals Darkseid 1:4 Scale Limited Edition Statue
Weta Workshop has officially unveiled their limited edition 1:4 scale statue of Darkseid based on the iconic DC Comics villain's appearance in "Zack Snyder's Justice League".
From his throne of stone the malevolent gaze of Darkseid falls once again on the planet Earth. Millenia have passed since the Age of Heroes, when gods, men and immortals united to defend the world, but thoughts of conquest, destruction and revenge burn like fire behind his knitted brow.
Limited to 1,000 pieces, the 1:4 scale statue is made from high quality polystone and includes a unique base design featuring an additional "Zack Snyder's Justice League" plaque for display at collector's preference.
The sculpture's concept creation was performed under Zack Snyder's vision and direction followed by a prototype being digitally sculpted from original 3D film files by Weta Workshop artist, Gary Hunt.
"The Justice League represents the greatest ever archetypes of heroes and villains," states Jules German, Head Painter at Weta Workshop. "The opportunity to work with Zack Snyder on the incredible stories of these legendary characters is both an honour and a privilege. It's quite literally a dream come true."
Please note that the preview images are renders of a digital model of the statue and that the final product is still in development. Details may change without further notice due to studio approvals and each sculpture is hand painted so there will be minor variations which occur.
The 1:4 Scale Darkseid Statue retails for $1,399.00 (excluding applicable taxes) and is currently available for pre-order from Weta Workshop. Estimated delivery is February, 2022.
