Director Zack Snyder has revealed via Twitter the grand prize in his "Justice League" fan-made poster contest in which several talented individuals from the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement submitted poster designs for the Snyder-Cut of the 2017 film.
Snyder had promised that the winner of the contest would receive a piece of Justice League memorabilia which, now that it has been revealed, is not exactly what anyone would have speculated. As opposed to a prop or screen-used item from the film, the actual prize is a film slate - aka clapperboard - which could be used for possible reshoots to complete Snyder's original version of "Justice League". Snyder has stated that the Snyder-Cut of the film does exist and features footage which was initially shot by the director prior to his stepping down from the production due to the untimely death of his daughter. Following his departure, Joss Whedon ("Serenity," "Avengers") was brought in on post-production for reshoots which eliminated roughly 50 - 90 minutes of footage Snyder had already shot that helped tie "Justice League" into "Batman V Superman" and "Man of Steel".
Although the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement is an uphill battle, similar efforts resulted in the studio releasing the Richard Donner cut of "Superman: II" in 2006 which featured a significant amount of lost footage shot by Dooner prior to his replacement on the film by director Richard Lester.
